About the Speaker: Don Mills ??|ldquo;The Way I See It: Economic, Social and Political Trends??|rdquo; As President and Co-founder of Corporate Research Associates, Don is one of Canada’s leading public opinion and market research professionals with over 30 years in the industry. He is a qualified expert witness in the field of public opinion and market research and has appeared before numerous boards, commissions and judicial courts, including the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. Don is frequently a guest commentator on radio and television on public opinion issues. Actively involved in the research industry, most recently he was the founding President of the Marketing Research & Intelligence Association (MRIA) and was Past President of the Canadian Association of Marketing Research Organizations (CAMRO). Don has been active in the community throughout his career and has served in a variety of Boards including the Halifax International Airport Authority, the YMCA, Dalhousie University, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce (Past Chair), the Greater Halifax Partnership (Past Chair), Ashburn Golf Club, the United Way, the Canadian Parents for French, the Help Line, and the Arthritis Society. He is currently; Board Member of Laing House, the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS), and Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame; Advisory Committee Member of Uniterra and NovaKnowledge, member of the Board of Trustees for the YMCA, as well as member of the Board of Directors for the Office Interiors Group, Poly Cello, and Total Marketing and Communications Ltd. (Bermuda). Don was inducted into the Atlantic Business Magazine Top 50 CEO Hall of Fame in its inaugural year in 2005. As well he was selected 2001 Business Person of the Year in Metro Halifax by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and was runner-up in 2006.
