Halifax has natural and developed attributes that make it a desirable place. Things like the beauty of our natural surroundings, the friendliness of our people, our universities and colleges, and our perfect size as a small but cosmopolitan city, are just a few of the things that keep us here and attract others to join us. These attributes are our sustainable competitive advantage.

This formula has meant that we have been growing consistently albeit slowly for the last 100 years or more. At this time increased global competition for talent and an aging population means that we must increase our attractiveness as a community to continue and even increase the rate of population growth. However, fiscal prudence would dictate that investments in community building must be done with consideration of the potential return on that investment and the timing of that return.

Space is limited to 50 people per session so register early!
