About the Ideas Market:
The Awesome Ideas Market is a one-time event that will see The Hub Halifax turned into a bustling market of business, not-for-profit and social enterprise ideas. The market will be filled with buyers (those who have money to invest) and sellers (those who have ideas that need funding), with the ultimate goal of providing much-needed seed money to keep ideas moving to the next stage of development.
For buyers to attend, they must commit to investing a minimum of $100, which will be taken at the door. Additional investments are encouraged (more money is, after all, more awesome) and can be made at any point during the night of the event. A maximum of 60 buyers can participate.

About The Awesome Foundation:
Founded in 2009 in Boston, MA, The Awesome Foundation exists for the simple purpose of increasing awesomenisity in the world. Currently in more than 35 cities around the world - from Boston to New Zealand - each chapter accomplishes the organization's mission by giving away a $1,000 grant to awesome ideas on a monthly basis. Ideas range from the artistic and the altruistic to the absurd, but must always be awesome.
The $1,000 grant is formed when 10 Trustees of Awesome (foundation board members) take $100 out of their own pockets to create the grant. The foundation is not a not-for-profit or legal entity, so every grant is given away with no strings attached.
