On May 22, the International Day for Biodiversity, Nova Scotian volunteers and the Nova Scotia Nature Trust literally raced to save Nova Scotia’s endangered plants and animals. The “Wilderness Soles” team members participated in every event from the 5km run to the full marathon. Travis Landry, a grade nine student from Bridgewater, says he raised funds for the Nature Trust because “they are working hard to conserve land for nature, and that is the key to making our province a friendly place for nature, and the many unique creatures that call Nova Scotia home!”
