Committees
As the voice of business in Halifax, the Chamber’s strength as an advocate for business is derived from the more than 400 members who volunteer their time and resources on Chamber committees and task forces. From municipal planning issues, to provincial finance, to transportation, the Chamber communicates with clarity and a respected depth of knowledge to all three levels of government on issues of concern to our members. Chamber members also volunteer their time in connection with membership services, including member benefits and by acting as ambassadors to the broader membership.
In order to ensure that Chamber committees are working on issues that are currently relevant to our members, committees are retired as their work plans are complete or as the priorities of our members change. Currently active committees include:
- Provincial Government Affairs
- Municipal Government Affairs
- Transportation
- Energy Advisory Group
- Ambassadors
- Chamber Councils
- Small Business Committee
