Distinguished Speakers Series
The Distinguished Speakers Series features informative and thought-provoking breakfast or luncheon presentations by business, government and institutional speakers on regional affairs and economic development. Federal and provincial ministers, chief executive officers of leading Canadian corporations, and influential thinkers keep Chamber members up-to-date on topical events and issues affecting the business community.
Business Backgrounder
Business Backgrounder is a new series in the Chamber's portfolio of events, which combines important business information with progressive thinking. This intimate-style event will provide overviews on topics that are essential for the successful operation of all business types and sizes.
This series offers you, as a successful business leader, the opportunity to share your insight and knowledge with the Chamber's membership as the self-sponsored host of a Business Backgrounder event.
Opinion Makers Series
The Chamber takes its role as a "convener of ideas" very seriously, even when those ideas do not agree with our own. The Opinion Makers series is an occasional series of speaker events featuring the people in our community who are the opinion leaders, the influencers, and those we think you should hear from. The setting is intimate, and the process is interactive. Past events have featured newspaper columnists, environmentalists, and community activists. In most cases these are not the typical speakers you would expect to see at a Chamber luncheon.
On-Stage Series
In its role as the "convener of great ideas," the Chamber has developed the "On Stage" series, which puts community and idea leaders in a more intimate session where content is king. We will bring the people you want to hear and in some cases need to hear, to tell you what they think and allow you to return the favour.
