VIA Rail Canada has operated the national passenger rail service since 1977. The company provides Canadians with safe, efficient and environmentally responsible public transportation. VIA operates up to 503 trains weekly and serves 450 communities across the country, from coast to coast. VIA carries more than 4 million passengers each year.
VIA Rail offers Chamber members a 10% discount applicable to VIA Rail's best available public fare at the time of purchase of a train ticket, plus applicable taxes. Applies to both business and leisure trips taken by members and up to 3 additional passengers provided the member and all passengers travel together for the entire trip. The discount is applicable in Business, Economy, Sleeper or Sleeper Touring classes.
