2012 Halifax Business Awards finalists announced
Halifax, NS, October 20, 2011 – The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce this year’s finalists for the 2012 Halifax Business Awards. The Awards which recognize talent and success in the Halifax business community had over 100 nominations this year and will take place on January 26, 2012 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront.
“The Halifax Business Awards is our opportunity to celebrate the success of our business community,” says Chamber president Valerie Payn. “This is the only awards show in the city that recognizes all types and sizes of business, celebrating the drive, passion and will to succeed that characterizes business in Halifax.”
The Chamber is also pleased to announce finalists in the Halifax Business Awards newest category, International Business of the Year. The category, sponsored by Nova Scotia Business Inc., will recognize local businesses who have expanded into international markets through exporting.
“We are very excited to be adding this category to our already successful Awards show,” says Chamber President Valerie Payn. “For the past 12 years our Business Awards have concentrated primarily on the business success stories in our city, and the addition of the International Business category allows us to recognize those that are expanding into new markets, and helping to strengthen and increase international economic activity in Nova Scotia.”
