Talent Management Portal

The Talent Management Portal (TMP)  is the second phase of the Chamber's plan to address the three major issues facing small to medium sized businesses. In order to combat a declining and aging population, a changing economy, and a changing worker, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce has pooled experts in the Human Resources field to create this online resource - the TMP - for individuals and businesses to use.

The TMP is a culmination of presentations, written material and workshops meant to assist businesses in being proactive in how they manage HR issues. With an impending population crisis not far ahead, the Chamber is taking strides to ensure they build awareness, inform and initiate change in the business community with respect to the unique challenges facing businesses throughout the country.

The TMP is a means of combatting our "going down the road" legacy where our talent leaves Nova Scotia for companies, provinces and countries that are willing to paint a brighter future for them and take competitive proactive steps to do so.

If businesses want to be competitve and sustainable in the future, it'll call for creative human resource strategy. The TMP addresses a series of HR issues traditional and otherwise with the futuristic lense of envisioning where businesses will be if they don't learn to adapt their practices to a declining and aging population, a changing economy and a changing worker.
