Event Manager


The Producer

I guess you could say producing events is a lot like producing a movie. Each event starts at the creative stages (script) and goes through the process of fine tuning (scene 5, take 27) and planning, (would you like two sugar or one with your coffee Mr. Clooney?) to ensure film goers get the perfect picture on the big screen. Just like setting any perfect scene, it's the creative tailoring and eye for detail that truly makes an event receive two thumbs up.

In her duties as Event Manager she is responsible for overseeing all events produced by the Chamber for members. In particular, Melissa produces the Chamber's Spring and Fall Dinners, Halifax Business Awards, Business-to-Business Expo and the annual golf tournament. 

Prior to joining the Chamber team, Melissa was the coordinator of events and marketing at the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing Management from Dalhousie University.
