Objectives:

• Encourage the adoption of healthy workplace principles and increase the number of business with a healthy workplace culture.
• Educate business about the important components of a healthy workplace strategy through the Healthy Workplace Criteria
• Recognize workplaces and leaders that demonstrate excellence in workplace health strategies.
• Identify local best practices and share ideas with other organizations in the business community.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Healthy Business Awards program a business must:

1. 1. Be a member of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce
2. 2. Demonstrate leadership and commitment to healthy workplace

Note:

• Businesses are not competing with one another for recognition, but rather against the “Healthy Business” criteria.
• Recipients will be honoured at a ceremony in October each year during Canada’s Healthy Workplace Week.
